About

Serpil Arslantaş is a business leader who, over the course of 18 years in the private sector, has worked directly with hundreds of companies on their investment, growth and transformation journeys. She has chosen to devote the knowledge and experience gained through this work to building a more liveable world. In 2023, she founded the Yeryüzü Foundation for Combating Climate Change in Antalya and serves as Chair of the Board.

Arslantaş works hands-on with collection and sorting systems through the DOA Manual Return Centre, which she established in Döşemealtı, Antalya, and the BeMed-supported Konyaaltı Coastal Plastics Partnership Project, which she leads in Konyaaltı, Antalya. She leads initiatives and advocacy to unlock the economic value of packaging waste, improve working conditions for informal waste pickers, secure formal recognition of waste picking as an occupation, and ensure that these workers are included in just transition processes that uphold public health and social justice.
