Ebru Tunç Akbulut

Ebru Tunç Akbulut is a senior executive with more than 20 years of experience in waste management, sustainability and the circular economy. Throughout her career she has held management roles in the private sector and civil society organisations, and has led multi-stakeholder work and projects in cooperation with public institutions, industry, universities and civil society organisations.

Working at Hamburger Recycling Turkey since 2017, Akbulut has served as the company’s Chair of the Board and General Manager since 2022. She also holds an independent board membership in the private sector.

Taking an active role in sector-wide work, Akbulut serves as Vice Chair of the TOBB Türkiye Waste and Recycling Industry Assembly, Chair of the EBSO Waste Recovery Industry Professional Committee, and Board Member of TÜDAM.

A graduate of Environmental Engineering at Dokuz Eylül University, Akbulut completed her master’s degree in Environmental Technologies at the same university. She is married and a mother of two.
