About

Kardelen Afrodit Adsal is a circular economy and environmental policy expert with over 10 years of experience working at the intersection of energy, sustainability, economics, and engineering. She is a Board Member of the Turkish Association for Energy Economics (TRAEE) and works as a consultant and project manager at Trinomics, advising the European Commission and other international institutions on circular economy, sustainable product policies, resource efficiency, and the green transition.

Her expertise spans energy and climate policy, waste management, industrial sustainability, life cycle assessment, and economic and environmental impact assessments. She has extensive experience in developing and evaluating policies that promote resource efficiency, product durability, reuse, recycling, and sustainable production and consumption. Her work under the EU Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR) particularly focuses on integrating circularity principles into product design and assessing their environmental and economic implications.

Combining policy expertise with hands-on industrial and entrepreneurial experience, Afrodit brings a practical perspective on how energy and mobility transitions can be supported by circular economy strategies, from extending product lifetimes and recovering valuable materials to reducing waste and dependence on virgin resources.

She holds a BSc in Energy Systems Engineering and an MSc in Environmental Biotechnology.
