Nazire Papatya Seçkin

N. Papatya Seçkin is a Professor in the Department of Architecture at MSFAU. She earned her MSc and PhD degrees in the Building Physics and Material Program at MSFAU.

Her academic research focuses on building materials, material analysis techniques, waterproofing systems, and urban and landscape design. In addition to numerous papers and articles presented at international conferences and published in academic journals, she has conducted research projects in the fields of wood building materials and details, as well as landscape design, and has won awards in urban design project competitions. She provides consulting services for a wide range of structures, with a particular emphasis on the preservation, restoration, and design of wooden structures.

She served as deputy head of the Department of Architecture from 2014 to 2020. In addition to being an academician in the Department of Architecture at MSFAU, she works as the Director of the Construction Research Centre at MSFAU and continues her design and application studies related to her profession.
