Halide Olgun Ak

Halide Olgun Ak is a graduate of the Department of International Relations at Ege University and a civil society professional working in the field of women's rights. She joined SİMKAD as a volunteer in 2018, subsequently served as Chairperson of the Board of Directors, and assumed the position of Finance Director of the Board of Directors in 2026. Within SİMKAD, she has actively contributed to the Kariyer Amazon and FemWorks initiatives, which aim to improve access to career opportunities, promote economic empowerment, and strengthen labor market participation among young women who are not in employment, education, or training (NEET).

Under the leadership of SİMKAD's current Chairperson, Özlem Öztaş, her work has increasingly focused on the structural inequalities faced by women in the context of the climate crisis and green transition, the recognition of unpaid care work, and the promotion of a care-responsive just transition.
