About

Olaf van der Veen is Cofounder and Chief Impact & Innovation Officer of Orbisk, a Dutch food tech company that uses AI powered computer vision to measure and reduce food waste in professional kitchens. Since cofounding Orbisk in 2019, he has helped grow it from a startup idea into an international scale up, with kitchens in more than 55 countries, including leading hotel groups and contract caterers.

With a background in pharmaceutical chemistry and data analytics, Olaf works where science, technology and sustainability meet. He believes that making food waste visible is one of the most practical levers for climate action.
