Önder Halisdemir

A banker and adviser who founds and runs banks and financial institutions; founding CEO of Aktif Bank (2007–2015) and co-founder and CEO of Misyon Bank (2021–2025). He structured Türkiye’s first project sukuk and first asset-backed securities issues together with the regulators, pioneering the financing of projects and assets through the capital markets, and served as founder and executive in ventures established in partnership with IFC, EBRD and the Islamic Development Bank.

A renewable energy investor, he is a board member and shareholder of Yelen Renewable Energy, where he is engaged in the development and financing of wind and solar projects. He chairs the Turkish Finance Executives Foundation and advises investors and boards.
