General Manager
AGED
Osman Kaytan has led the Paper Recycling Industrialists Association (AGED) for over 15 years. Representing 95% of Türkiye’s recycling-based paper production capacity, AGED brings a substantial industrial perspective to discussions on secondary raw materials, circularity and green industrialisation.
His experience combines industry representation, Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) system management and public–private cooperation. He helped establish and manage an EPR system that supported more than 2,000 companies in meeting their obligations and developed partnerships with over 100 municipalities on waste management and recycling. He serves on both the Turkish Paper and Paper Products Industry Assembly and the Waste and Recycling Industry Assembly of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB). Kaytan holds a BA in Translation and Interpreting Studies from Boğaziçi University and an Executive MBA from Istanbul University. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree at Marmara University’s Institute of European Union Studies. Drawing on his industrial experience and international background, including a period living in China, he brings a practical perspective on how secondary raw materials can support resource efficiency, industrial competitiveness and the transition to a circular economy.
