Görkem Günbaş

Prof. Görkem Günbaş is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Middle East Technical University (METU), Coordinator of the Materials Research and Characterization Division (MDR) at ODTÜ-GÜNAM, and Advisor to the Rector. His research focuses on advanced functional materials, next-generation photovoltaic technologies, perovskite solar cells, and sustainable energy applications. As a principal investigator and coordinator of numerous national and international projects funded by the European Union and TÜBİTAK. His work addresses both the technological advancement and circularity of clean energy systems, with a particular focus on solar energy technologies, sustainable materials, recycling strategies, and design-for-recycling approaches for next-generation renewable energy solutions.
