Yaşar Yılmaz was born in 1978 in the Sarayönü district of Konya. A mining technician by training, he is a civil servant at the Konya Sarayönü Municipality and has now completed 20 years of service at the institution.

He serves as the municipality’s Zero Waste Officer, taking responsibility on behalf of local government for carrying out zero waste practices in Sarayönü.
